SAN ANTONIO — An investigation is underway by the Texas Rangers after a welfare check turns into a fatal shooting involving a law enforcement officer in Bandera County Friday morning.
The Bandera County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call for a shooting around 11 a.m. at an unspecified location.
Deputies say the man who died from his injuries was a 68-year-old man.
Authorities did not say what lead up to the shooting.
Deputies did say the call originally came in as a welfare check.
This is an active investigation with the Texas Rangers.
