A man was shot dead Friday evening on the city’s east side, according to SAPD. Authorities are investigating and have detained three individuals for questioning.
SAN ANTONIO — A man is dead following a shooting on the city’s east side, and investigators are questioning several people as they work to determine what led up to the violence.
Police said the shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of Lakefront and Lakeledge.
According to investigators, multiple gunshots were reported in the area. When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds to the head, abdomen and leg. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said three people were detained as part of the investigation. One woman was taken into custody at a nearby gas station. Two men were detained inside a vehicle just east of where the shooting occurred, according to police.
Authorities have not said how the individuals are connected or what may have led to the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
