
Houston police said a child, believed to be about 7 or 8 months old, died Saturday at an apartment complex off Calhoun Road near the South Loop.
HOUSTON — A child died at a southeast Houston apartment complex on Saturday.
Houston Police Department officials said investigators were working to find out what happened at the complex on Calhoun Road near the South Loop.
HPD said they first got the call around 11:20 p.m., and the child was pronounced dead at 11:27 a.m.
They said the child is believed to be between 7 and 8 months old and was visiting family members at the time. Authorities said they put the child down for a nap, and when they checked on the infant, there were no signs of life.
Authorities said there were no obvious signs of foul play. An autopsy report will determine the child’s cause of death.
