It has been six months since Suzanne Simpson was last seen alive. This is where her case stands.

Brad Simpson remains in the Bexar County Jail, indicted for murder in the case of his missing wife.

OLMOS PARK, Texas — It has been six months since Suzanne Simpson, the Olmos Park mother of four, vanished. Since then, investigators have charged her husband, Brad Simpson with murder.

It was a case that put a relatively quiet community of Olmos Park into the spotlight.

However, six months later, Suzanne’s remains have not been located. Right now, investigators, prosecutors, attorneys and the family are tight lipped because of a gag order.

However, we do know Brad’s defense team is working to get his indictment thrown out. A motion hearing will be held at the end of the month.

The indictment itself alleges Brad killed his wife and tried to hide a motorized saw that has her DNA on it.

Timeline of Events

Investigators believe Suzanne was last seen alive the night of October 6 after leaving a party at the Argyle. Suzanne was a well-known realtor and dedicated mother.

Many of her friends and neighbors were in disbelief when she disappeared.

“There has been tension in the family,” Police Chief Fidel Villegas said back on October 9th.

Just days after reporting her missing, Brad was arrested in connection with the case. He was initially charged with assault and unlawful restraint. Both family violence misdemeanor charges.

“He still has not cooperated,” Chief Villegas said back on October 10.

We would then hear from Suzanne’s mother, Barbara Clark following a vigil.

“What happened? I’m shocked,” Clark said on October 13.

Meanwhile, investigators would conduct searches in Boerne, Bandera and even a landfill in East Bexar County. However, there were still no signs of Suzanne’s body.

On October 21, Brad’s business partner, James Cotter would be taken into custody, accused of helping Brad hide an illegal gun. He has since been released on bond.

Then, exactly a month after Brad reported Suzanne missing, he would be charged with murder. The arrest warrant tracked his whereabouts the hours and days after her disappearance. It alleged he had dumped a large, bulky item wrapped in a tarp.

“This helps us come to terms with reality that Suzanne is no longer with us,” Barton Simpson, Brad’s brother said in November.

By December, Brad would be indicted for murder. Since then, he has appeared in court several times. Prior to the gag order, Barton opened up about what it was like to see his brother in handcuffs for the first time.

“It’s horribly frustrating and very frustrating for all the kids,” Barton said in December following the first hearing.

Brad’s next hearing in April 22 at 9 a.m. for the motion to quash the indictment. A trial date has not been set.

Meanwhile, according to online court records, a trial date for James Cotter has been set for May 21st.
