Keldon Johnson visits China annually to engage with fans and promote his Qiaodan brand.

SAN ANTONIO — With every offseason, you can expect San Antonio Spurs‘ Keldon Johnson to carve out time for his now annual trip to China.

In case you didn’t know, Johnson is a brand ambassador for the Chinese athletic wear company Qiaodan.

Since joining them, the Spurs forward, along with Qiaodan, has released his signature sneaker line, clothes, and even casual wear.

So, he makes it a point to visit Qiaodan in the offseason to catch up on the latest news, sneakers, and clothes about his brand, and mingle with fans he has overseas.

“It’s amazing. I love going over there. I love seeing my fans,” he said.

Johnson does it all for the Chinese fans. He plays pickup basketball with them, snaps photos, and is swarmed by Silver & Black fans hoping to get a glimpse of him.

“It’s great! Great time each and every year that I go out there. Amazing turnouts, and I enjoy it,” Johnson said.

Johnson sports his signature Qiaodan sneakers throughout the season, and his line of sneakers is outstanding.

The sneaker company has released the “FengciRISE 1.5,” which is inspired by the city of San Antonio and features the famous “Fiesta” colors.

Diving deeper, his Qiaodan clothing line features shorts, button-up shirts and Qiaodan socks.

Ultimately, maintaining contact with the sneaker company is crucial to him. Still, just as he does in San Antonio, he prioritizes his Chinese fans when he visits, making sure they enjoy their once-a-year visit from him because to him, the reception he gets there is “love,” he once said.

“I have fun with it. I love the atmosphere over there,” said Johnson with a smile.
