JACKSONVILLE, Texas — A Jacksonville man has been arrested after injuring a woman and abandoning a child.

Danny Porras, 22, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon/family violence and abandoning/endangering a child without intent to return. He currently resides in Cherokee County Jail.

According to a spokesperson for Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, the agency was notified by Jacksonville Police of reports of an individual lying in the roadway.
