SAN ANTONIO — Grammy-winning singer Jennifer Lopez cancelled her North American tour Friday afternoon, according to the artists’ website.
Lopez was set to return to the Alamo City with a concert stop at the Frost Bank Center on July 5 as part of her 2024 tour, “This is Me Now.”
The tour cancellation follows multiple rumors of problems in Lopez’s two-year marriage to Ben Affleck and according to multiple reports, the tour has been facing poor ticket sales.
Lopez posted on her website with the following message: “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down,” Lopez said in a statement Friday. “Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”
Those who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded. Those who purchased through resale sites like SeatGeek or StubHub are recommended to reach out to the company for more details, according to Lopez’s site.
