Jonas Brothers cancel and move upcoming concerts, including one in North Texas

The Jonas Brothers are changing venues for six concerts, including one in North Texas, according to their Instagram story.

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Jonas Brothers are canceling six stadium stops in the U.S. on their “Jonas20: Greetings from Your Hometown” 20th anniversary tour, including one in North Texas, and replacing them with new shows at different venues.

On their Instagram stories, the trio shared that six U.S. tour stops, including one that was set in Arlington in North Texas, as well as others in Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Tinley Park in Illinois, Detroit and Los Angeles, would be canceled and replaced with new shows at different venues.

Instead of the concert previously set for Aug. 31 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, it will now take place on the same day at Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas, according to the band.

But fans who had planned to attend the canceled shows will need to buy tickets for the new shows, which are set on the same date, according to the band.

According to the trio’s Instagram story, refunds will be issued automatically for people who’d bought tickets for the canceled shows, and they will get “priority pre-sale” access to buy tickets for the shows via their Ticketmaster account. Tickets for the new shows go on sale June 18, according to the band.

“We’re making some venue changes, but rest assured, all performances are still happening on the same dates and in the same cities. We’ve poured our hearts into making sure this is the best tour we’ve ever done,” the band’s post read. “We apologize for any inconvenience these changes have caused and we can’t wait to see you on the road!”

Here are the dates, times and locations of the new shows:

  • Aug. 12 at Jiffy Lube Live in Washington, D.C.
  • Aug. 14 at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Philadelphia.
  • Aug. 26 at Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Illinois.
  • Aug. 28 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
  • Aug. 31 at Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas.
  • Sept. 6 at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

Joe Jonas used to live in Dallas and last month held a pop-up concert at the Fort Worth Stockyards while promoting his new album.

WFAA has reached out to representatives of the band and LiveNation for further details on the venue changes.
