SAN ANTONIO — Erik Cantu was sentenced Tuesday to eight years of probation after being found guilty of violating his previous probation.
Judge Stephanie Boyd warned Cantu that any future violations of his current probation could result in a 10-year prison sentence.
Prosecutors also mentioned Cantu’s pending charges in an unrelated 2024 assault case, but the judge did not factor those into her decision since the case has not yet gone to trial.
