CONVERSE, Texas — A construction worker not employed by Judson ISD has died at a construction site at Converse Elementary School, Judson ISD confirms.
The district says the person was employed by a third-party construction company contracted for a project at the school and was not a Judson ISD employee. First responders were immediately called to the scene.
The construction site has been secured, the district said. The contractor and the Judson ISD Facilities Department are cooperating with emergency personnel and officials as this incident is being investigated.
“Judson ISD maintains a steadfast commitment to the safety of all projects and individuals working within our district,” Judson ISD said in a statement.
The district won’t release any more details out of respect for the family and the active investigation.
