
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office spotted the kangaroo near FM 609 and Farek-Loth Road.
AUSTIN, Texas — A wild kangaroo has been returned to its owner after being spotted hopping around Fayette County.
Deputies reported seeing the kangaroo, named Jack, near Farek-Loth Road and FM 609 on Thursday.
When deputies found him, Jack was wearing a red jacket. The sheriff’s office added, “yes, we are serious … we couldn’t make this up if we wanted to.”
Jack was returned home Thursday night, with the sheriff’s office thanking the community for spreading the word and helping to get him home.
