Katy resident claims $1 million prize off Texas Lottery Powerball game

It looks the Lone Star State has another anonymous, overnight millionaire that won a top prize off the Texas Lottery’s Powerball game recently. A resident in Katy, Texas claimed exactly $1,000,004 when they won the second tier top prize from a Powerball drawing on January 29, according to a news release.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, bought the ticket from Cinco Ranch Express store located at 2950 S Mason Road, Katy, TX 77450. It was a Quick Pick Powerball ticket that had all five numbers drawn correct except for the coveted Powerball that would have won them the $348 million jackpot.

Last week, on Valentine’s Day, a San Antonio resident got lucky and also won $1 million off a Powerball ticket that they purchased at a Q Food Mart on the Southside. The Texas Lottery’s Mega Millions drawing game also seems to be paying out millions for Texas. A resident in Longview, Texas claimed a $2 million Mega Millions prize on January 29.
