Keldon Johnson joins the “Back 2 School Backpack Drive” to aid San Antonio students with supplies and free haircuts.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs forward Keldon Johnson is once again participating in the annual “Back 2 School Backpack Drive” organized by Jiggity Jay Entertainment and hosted by “Countdown City Cuts.”
The event will not only help San Antonio students with needed backpacks and school supplies, but Countdown City Cuts will also offer free haircuts, food, music, and local vendors for all participants.
Joining Keldon will be his brother Kaleb and other local athletes and celebrities.
The event will take place at the event center located at B&N Sports Bar, 3705 Roosevelt Ave., 78214, on August 10, starting at noon.

SPURS CULINARY RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Spurs Sports & Entertainment and Aramark have announced that they are looking for 12 local restaurants to participate in the fifth year of the Spurs Culinary Residency program, presented by Coca-Cola.
According to the release, selected restaurants will have the opportunity to showcase their menus at the program’s dedicated concession stands inside the Frost Bank Center throughout the 2025-26 Spurs season.
“As we open applications for the fifth year of the Spurs Culinary Residency, it’s incredible to see how far the program has come in showcasing San Antonio’s vibrant food culture,” said Kevin Barker, Associate Director of Culinary Experience at SS&E, in a release.
Restaurant owners can also partake in professional development opportunities led by SS&E to help enhance their business acumen.
The program’s online application is now open until August 4, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
