SAN ANTONIO — The All-American Bowl and the San Antonio All-Star football game highlight not only the best athletes in the area, but from around the country.

All-American Bowl

The All-American Bowl is the nation’s premier high school sporting event as the top 100 senior football players in the country come together to show off their talents in the Alamodome before heading to the next level.

San Antonio has hosted the event at the Alamodome since 2003 and notable NFL stars like Odell Beckham Jr. and Ezekiel Elliot are alumni of the game, which has also produced 129 first round picks, 217 Pro Bowlers and 97 Super Bowl champions.

San Antonio All-Star Game

The San Antonio All-Star football game has been highlighting the areas top athletes since 1978. Players are nominated by high school coaches and a selection committee that includes broadcasters, journalists and former coaches.

The game is played right after the All-American Game every year in the Alamodome and consists of 120 senior football players from the San Antonio area.

Team Black will be coached by Che Hendrix from Boerne High School and they will take on Team Gold which will be coached by Madison High School Football Coach Blaine Pederson.
