SAN ANTONIO — The Thanksgiving holiday week is also bringing more high school football playoff action as the Regional Finals get underway across Texas.
In San Antonio, the games kicked off Friday with an all-local matchup that saw Smithson Valley beating New Braunfels 56-21 to advance to the Class 5A-DI quarterfinals next week against the winner of Flour Bluff and San Antonio Southwest. Boerne, Alamo Heights and Holy Cross all also play on Friday.
