SAN ANTONIO — You know your team is doing something right if they’re still playing on the gridiron after Thanksgiving. Several teams across the area are still in the race for the coveted state title.
The Regional Finals kick off in San Antonio at 6 p.m. on Friday in a 4A matchup between the undefeated Davenport Wolves and the one-loss La Vernia Bears at Comalander Stadium. La Vernia looks to get their revenge for the third round playoff loss they suffered to Davenport back in 2023, which is also the only time these two schools faced off in a head-to-head matchup.
