SAN ANTONIO — Week 3 of South Texas High School Football in the books!
Read on for Vinnie’s picks of the top five San Antonio-area programs in week three.
No. 5. Southwest Dragons
They’ve moved to (3-0). They’ve scored thirty plus points in all three wins! Good for them!
No. 4: Brennan Bears
They look to have figured it out after their season opening loss against the Reagan Rattlers with wins at Smithson Valley two weeks ago and last Friday night against Sotomayor in shutout fashion 38-0.
No. 3: Alamo Heights Mules
The Mules went on the road to Canyon and put 55 points on the scoreboard. They are (3-0) and take another 6A plunge this week hosting Clemens.
No. 2: Pieper Warriors
Really impressive once again for the Pieper Warriors. 42-7 last Friday night at previously undefeated Davenport. 118 points in their first three games. That’s playing some offense right there.
No. 1: Steele Knights
Ranked first in last two weeks.
The top spot since the opening week is the Steele Knights. They’ve had some amazing offenses in their short program history, but this is years is something special. They scored 62 on Reagan last week. They scored 56 against Brandies last Saturday. Look out for those Steele Knights!

Honorable mentions
And there are other undefeated (3-0) teams. Boerne Champion, John Jay, Southwest Legacy, Hondo and Somerset. As well as the Poth Pirates. Great job fellas!
