KENS 5 TV signal will be off air early Tuesday morning for transmitter maintenance

The outage will affect only viewers who receive KENS 5 using an antenna or who are subscribers to DISH or DirecTV.

SAN ANTONIO — KENS 5 Television will be off the air early Tuesday morning due to required maintenance at the station’s transmitter site in southeast Bexar County.

The outage will affect only viewers who receive KENS 5 using an antenna or who are subscribers to DISH or DirecTV. (Those services receive the over-the-air signal and retransmit it to their audiences.) Other viewers will be unaffected.

The maintenance window begins at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday and is expected to conclude no later than 4:30 a.m., which is the start of KENS 5 Morning News.

Thank you for your patience while KENS 5’s engineers conduct needed maintenance so we can continue to bring you San Antonio’s Own KENS 5.
