KENS 5’s Sarah Forgany speaking out for heart health with Go Red for Women

She’s talking about her recent health scare in a cover profile for San Antonio Woman magazine.

SAN ANTONIO — KENS 5 News anchor Sarah Forgany is used to being in front of the camera, but she’s under a different kind of spotlight this month.

Forgany is appearing on the cover of San Antonio Woman magazine’s January / February edition to promote a cause that is close to her heart.

She will be emceeing the Go Red for Women benefit for the American Heart Association – Texas next month.

“I am truly honored San Antonio Woman chose me for their Jan/Feb 2025 Heart Edition and humbled to follow in the footsteps of leading women in our community featured in the past,” she said in a social media post.

Forgany is a survivor of heart failure, which happened unexpectedly after she had undergone a minor surgical procedure. She was later diagnosed with broken heart syndrome.

“Ahead of #AmericanHeartMonth, I hope you can take a minute to read this issue and remind yourself and your loved ones that no matter how old you are, we all need to ‘pause’ our busy lives to reassess and put our HEALTH first,” Forgany said.

Never imagined I’d be in a Magazine with someone telling my story yet alone on the Cover. I am truly honored San Antonio…
