ThriveWell Cancer Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for cancer by funding research, providing patient support and offering programs to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
The foundation was established in 2007 and offers three different but equally important programs to those battling cancer in San Antonio and the surrounding areas:
- The Patient Assistance Program is focused on enabling cancer patients to comply with their prescribed treatment plan by providing transportation, financial and lodging assistance to those in need. Through the end of 2024, ThriveWell provided more than $13,165,000 to patients, paying for their treatment costs, transportation and lodging since the inception of the program.
- The Diva&Dude Program provides free exercise, nutrition and wellness classes to cancer patients and survivors because research shows that cancer patients who follow diet and exercise guidelines can significantly reduce their chance of recurrence. Across San Antonio and New Braunfels, Diva&Dude has multiple locations offering over 2,500 free in-person exercise, nutrition and wellness classes. Exercise and nutrition classes are also available on YouTube @ThriveWellSA.
- The ThriveWell Research Program has funded cutting-edge research projects and clinical trials, providing more than $900,000 to 41 research projects covering prostate, liver, bladder, ovarian, breast, brain, lung and other cancers.
