KERR COUNTY, Texas — Kerr County commissioners plan to discuss several issues around the July Fourth flooding at a meeting Monday morning, , according to online agenda documents.

One item on the table includes submitting a formal request for public assistance from FEMA to support flood recovery.
And with surge in caseloads tied to the floods, commissioners will talk about hiring an additional criminal investigation division investigator.
They’ll also take up possible, additional pay for county workers who responded to the flooding.
Another item on the agenda deals with giving the sheriff the green light to allow office employees to carry over more than 320 hours of paid time off, a temporary exemption that would last through September 30, 2026.
Non-exempt employees could be eligible for overtime pay, instead of comp time for hours over 40.
Exempt employees may receive straight time pay for extra hours.
A lot of personnel and payroll items slated to be discussed during Monday morning’s meeting.
