They have been overwhelmed with generosity of people, but have literally run out of places to store the donations.
KERRVILLE, Texas โ Kerr County Animal Services has been so overwhelmed with donations of pet food, they’re now asking folks to take a “paws” with their generosity.
“An outpouring of food for cats and dogs has been received by Kerr County Animal Services in the aftermath of the July Fourth flood disaster โ so much so, that KCAS Director Reagan Givens is asking for a pause,” said KCAS.
โWe have been so blessed by the generosity shown to us by so many animal lovers,โ Givens said. โIt has been truly heartwarming to witness such an overwhelming response.โ
They have received multiple pallets of food in just the past two days and have reached capacity for storing it. They’ve even shared supplies with local shelters and rescue outfits.
โWhile we truly appreciate everyone giving, we are asking that they please hold off for the time being,โ he said.
If you’d like to donate to help animals in Kerr County, they would appreciate cash donations.
“Cash donations are always accepted, as long as the donor designates the monetary gift for use by the local animal control authority, by noting โKCASโ in the Memo Line,” said KCAS.
