Kerrville Pets Alive! helping owners find pets lost in the flood

Kerrville Pets Alive! will also fund the cremation of any pets who did not survive.

SAN ANTONIO — Kerrville Pets Alive! is offering resources to pet owners impacted by the devastating Fourth of July floods. 

The organization has set up pet and people stations at Ingram Elementary School, the Ingram Volunteer Fire Department and the Calvary Church in Kerrville. Crates have been taken to the locations to house the pets. 

“There are many families and pet owners searching for pets displaced by the flood. Our goal is to provide pet support so that people can take care of themselves,” said Karen Guerriero, Board President and founding member of Kerrville Pets Alive!.

The all-volunteer nonprofit group has created a database of lost and found pets which will allow pet owners to list pet information and upload photos. KPA! volunteers will work locate pets and reunite them with owners.
