“Samson” is currently at the clinic recovering from his scary ordeal.
SAN ANTONIO — Turtle doves are known as a beautiful symbol of Christmas and one Kerrville Police officer rescued one Wednesday afternoon – just in time for the holiday season.
The Kerrville Police Department posted on Facebook about the heroic rescue of “Samson,” a baby mourning dove also known as a turtle dove.
According to Kerrville PD, Officer Ake saved “Samson” from terrifying traffic. He was then transported to the AWS Freeman – Fritts Animal Shelter and Clinic.
“Samson” is currently at the clinic recovering from his scary ordeal before being transported to a wildlife refuge.
