SAN ANTONIO — One of San Antonio’s favorite bakeries and café, La Panadería, is spreading the love and the aroma of fresh pastries with its newest location in Stone Oak.
The grand opening is set for Wednesday, December 17 at 1011 North Loop 1604 East. Guests will be able to dine in the bakery’s largest location yet: a 6,600-square-foot space with 100 parking spots and a menu packed with authentic Mexican pastries, all-day breakfast, lunch, customizable tortas, salads, and a selection of coffee, fresh juice, wine, beer, and cocktails.
Adding an extra sprinkle of charm to the opening celebration, La Panadería is introducing Don Lino, its first-ever mascot. Don Lino is inspired by the legendary baker from the Cáceres brothers’ childhood stories in Mexico City. Officials say Don Lino embodies the dedication and tradition of generations of bakers. He’ll be able to meet guests for the first time during the ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening.
This new opening marks La Panadería’s fifth San Antonio location, and the bakery gives a special nod to Karnes County National Bank for supporting the project. The expansion has also created 100 new jobs for the Alamo City and comes after a $3.5 million investment into the space.
