LA PRYOR, Texas — A special board meeting was held by the La Pryor ISD board of trustees to discuss how to handle a situation involving Superintendent Dr. William Arevalo.
During the meeting, the decision was made to put Arevalo on paid administrative leave while the investigation remains ongoing.
The board named Business Manager Miriam Castillo as acting superintendent for the district.
The district said this is the only information that can be released at this time until the investigation is complete.
