AUSTIN, Texas — A Lake Travis ISD police officer was seriously injured after a large ruck struck his windshield on Friday morning.
According to the Lake Travis ISD Police Department, Officer Stephen Dean was driving to work on U.S. 281 when the incident happened.
Police said Dean sustained serious injuries but is now stable. They said his recovery “will take time.”
Dean’s K-9, Officer Fox, was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Police said they believe the accident was accidental.
