SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department says a “large group of trick or treaters” were struck by a vehicle in a south-side neighborhood.
Around 8 p.m., officials responded to the 9300 block of Monsanto after receiving reports of a crash involving a pedestrian.
Upon arrival, SAPD said a 29-year-old man and woman, along with a 1-year old child, sustained injuries after being struck by a vehicle in a south-side neighborhood.
The male and the child reportedly had minor injuries while the woman was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said preliminary information suggests a man got in his truck and pressed the gas a little too hard before he jumped the curb and “unfortunately hit a large group of trick or treaters.”
SAPD said there is some evidence to suggest that alcohol could’ve been involved so they are investigating the incident as a possible DWI case.
This is an ongoing investigation.
