Late night dispute leads to shooting on west side, police say

Police are still looking for the suspect in this shooting.

SAN ANTONIO — Police are searching for a suspect who shot a man during a late-night argument on the west side of San Antonio.

It happened around 12:10 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Oakhill Road near Culebra Road.

Police say there was an altercation poolside at an apartment complex when someone pulled out a weapon and fired off some shots. That suspect then fled from the location. Police were alerted about the fleeing suspect and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect did not stop and officers lost sight of their vehicle. The suspect sideswiped a passing vehicle and still did not stop. Police located the abandoned vehicle of the suspect a short time later.

The suspect has not yet been located.

The 26-year-old victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

No other injuries were reported.
