San Antonio restaurants embrace the latest trend with soft-serve margaritas, mixing cocktail with dessert delight.
SAN ANTONIO — You have probably seen them on Instagram. Now, local restaurants are bringing a national drink trend to San Antonio.
They are called soft-serve margaritas and many of them are dairy-based. It’s basically a margarita meets soft-serve ice cream, swirled in a margarita glass. Those among the first to try them report they are so thick, they have to be eaten with a spoon.
So far, San Antonio has two locations now serving soft-serve margaritas. The Rodeo Bar And Grill at 7247 Bandera Road in Leon Valley has strawberry and mango varieties. They are going for $14.99 a piece.
Lion and Rose Pub at 23330 W I-10 in the Dominion is also serving a lime variety. They are going for $7.99 each.
A quick Google search also shows just a few places in Houston and Dallas that are also serving them. The trend is still getting off the ground, but it will not be long before they are everywhere.
Happy posting!
