NISD spokesman Barry Perez said that no weapon was reported, despite rumors to the contrary.
SAN ANTONIO — The lockdown has been lifted at two Northside Independent School District campuses after police say the suspect has been taken into custody.
The lock downs were on the campuses of Clark High School and Locke Hill Elementary School, located next to each other on De Zavala Road.
Barry Perez, NISD spokesman said, “A lockdown had been called for Clark HS and Locke HIll ES due to a suspicious individual outside of Clark HS.”
Police with NISD tried to stop the individual after it was reported that he had a weapon. He was detained by NISD Police and they determined he did not have a weapon.
The lockdown has now been lifted at both schools.
This is a developing story.
