NBA star Chris Paul gets added to the iconic Spurs mural on San Antonio’s south side.
SAN ANTONIO — If you want to visit San Antonio Spurs murals, you can drive to any part of the city and likely find one. However, you can see one of the city’s largest Spurs murals on the south side at Rudy’s Seafood.
In case you didn’t know, the popular south-side seafood spot boasts a massive collection of Spurs murals honoring players from the past and present.
You’ll find David Robinson, Manu Ginobili, Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell, Victor Wembanyama and Jeremy Sochan, to name a few. Even the Spurs mascot, the Coyote, has a mural.
A new addition to the Spurs mural has recently been made: Chris Paul.
San Antonio artist Nik Soupe (who created all the Spurs murals at Rudy’s Seafood) recently added Paul (to cover ex-Spur Dominick Barlow) to the mural in his Icon Edition jersey. His name is splashed around his likeness, and the Spurs’ retro Fiesta colors surround him.

This mural adds to the few Paul has already peppered throughout San Antonio.
Last season, Paul brought stability and a strong veteran presence for the Spurs’ young players on the court.
He was constantly instructing them, whether from the sidelines, on the court, or in the locker room, and his teammates absorbed his wealth of basketball knowledge.
“You got competitive guys, obviously starting with Vic (Victor Wembanyama) and then you got (De’Aaron) Fox, you got Harrison (Barnes) and the young guys, I think they’re sponges. They’re going to keep learning,” Paul said.
It remains an open question if Paul will return next season as he enters free agency this offseason. He averaged 8.8 points per game, 7.4 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 42% shooting. He also played all 82 games with the Spurs.
“It has been unbelievable here. I mean seriously, it’s been unbelievable, and I think this summer I’ll make that decision with my family,” he said.
You can visit Paul’s mural at 4122 S. Flores St., 78214.
