Lower level on I-35 in downtown San Antonio flooded

Both directions of the highway remain closed due to pooling water on the road.

SAN ANTONIO — The lower level of I-35 in downtown is closed in both directions due to high water.

This area is prone to flooding whenever we get heavy rain in a short amount of time.

Overnight storms have caused flooding and dangerous road conditions for the morning commute. I-35 Lower Level (DT North) South between Main Ave at Exit 157 and San Pedro Ave/Exit 157 is closed, according to Sig Alert.

281 South at Josephine St at Grayson St exit also is closed due to high water.
