Lucy Dillon was a reader, corgi lover and devoted Houston Rockets fan. She lost her life in the Kerr County flood

HOUSTON — We’re learning more about those who lost their lives in the devastating Hill Country flooding. Among the victims is Lucy Dillon, who was on summer break before the third grade. 

Lucy was at camp when the floods ripped through Kerr County.

Her family writes in her online obituary that she was a bright and enthusiastic student who was attending Memorial Drive Elementary.

Lucy was a reader, a corgi lover and a devoted Houston Rockets fan. She dreamed of playing college basketball.

At the age of three, Lucy learned to ride a bike. By age four, she started to play basketball And she recently helped her softball and basketball team win championships. Basketball was her greatest love, according to her family. She loved to play hoops in her driveway at home. 

A celebration of life will be held for Lucy this Saturday.
