LULAC to hold news conference after saying its volunteers’ homes were raided

HOUSTON — LULAC, the nation’s oldest and largest Hispanic and Latin American civil rights organization, promises to set the record straight after it says homes of their volunteers were raided.

LULAC, which is the League of United Latin American Citizens, says the raids were conducted by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office. On Wednesday, he launched an investigation into reports that organizations may be illegally registering non-citizens to vote.

LULAC said they’re preparing a federal complaint and will hold a news conference on Monday morning.
