Police aren’t sure how a fight over a parked car exacerbated to the the point that a knife was pulled and people injured.

SAN ANTONIO — Two men ended up in the hospital after a fight over parking led to both of them being cut with a machete, police say.

San Antonio Police responded around 11:15 p.m. Sunday to the 8900 block of Valley Villa near Les Harrison Drive on the far west side of town for reports of a cutting in progress.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found two men with cut wounds. One was cut on the face and arm and the other was cut on the hand. Both men were taken to the hospital for their injuries.

Police say one of the men went next door to complain about where a vehicle was parked and brought a knife similar to a machete in a sheath. An argument broke out, which escalated and the knife was pulled out and used.

Police didn’t indicate if any charges were being filed.

This is a developing story.
