Major credit union leases space from Red McCombs for its headquarters

A major federal credit union is moving its corporate headquarters to San Antonio, and they’re leasing a building owned by Red McCombs Enterprises near the San Antonio Zoo. Air Force Federal Credit Union (AFFCU) has leased the Trinity Plaza 1 located at 750 E. Mulberry San Antonio, Texas 78212 for its new corporate headquarters, according to a news release from the company.

AFFCU will renovate the space and move in by early 2025. The building is owned by Mulberry Partners LLC, and entity tied to Red McCombs Enterprises. The five-story, 46,623-sqaure-foot building currently houses Wells Fargo, but the news release says that the current tenants have 18 months to leave the property.

The deal was brokered by commercial real estate firm JLL. The terms of the long-term lease were not disclosed. AFFCU is moving from its current location on the Westside, which is a business park located 1560 Cable Ranch Road, San Antonio, Texas 78245.

“We’re excited to relocate our corporate headquarters to a more centralized location near downtown and the Pearl,” said president and CEO of AFFCU, Ryan Ross. “Trinity Plaza 1 and the surrounding area will provide our employees with the amenities and work setting they deserve.”
