SAN ANTONIO — A man allegedly causing a disturbance inside a southwest-side store was shot by a securty guard after he refused to follow their commands, police say.
It happened around 7:20 p.m. Monday on the 7000 block of S Zarzamora, near Applewhite Road.
When officers arrived, they found the 40-year-old victim lying in front of the store with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Police say the security officers said they confronted the man as he came outside of the store after causing a disturbance inside, bothering customers.
The two guards tried to get the victim to comply with their commands, but he refused. The man then walked towards one of the security guards, and he fired his weapon once hitting him in the right leg.
The victim was taken to SAMMC in critical condition.
The security guard was booked for aggravated assault.
This is a developing story.
