
A Seguin man was arrested after deputies responding to a domestic disturbance found multiple guns, drugs and cash during a traffic stop in Guadalupe County.
SEGUIN, Texas — A Seguin man is in custody after deputies discovered multiple firearms, narcotics and cash during a domestic disturbance investigation early Sunday morning.
The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the 700 block of Cordova Loop on January 18, 2026, for a reported domestic disturbance involving a firearm.
Deputies quickly located a vehicle believed to be connected to the call and conducted a search, recovering several handguns, a large quantity of suspected narcotics, and a significant amount of cash.
Authorities identified the suspect as 42-year-old Joshua Ricketts of Seguin.
While being detained, deputies say Ricketts damaged a patrol vehicle and briefly gained access to a rifle. The weapon was quickly secured, and no injuries were reported.
Ricketts was taken into custody and faces multiple charges, including narcotics offenses, unlawful carrying of a weapon, money laundering, criminal mischief, and assault.
The sheriff’s office credited deputies for safely resolving the situation and removing dangerous weapons and drugs from the community.
Officials say the investigation remains ongoing.
