Man arrested after pursuing relationship with teenage girl, SAPD says

SAN ANTONIO – A 60-year-old man was arrested after pursuing a relationship with his neighbor, a teenage girl, and requesting explicit photos and videos, according to San Antonio police.

Troy Lycan was taken to the Bexar County Jail Thursday afternoon. He’s charged with online solicitation of a minor to arouse and gratify.

The charge stems from a two-month-long investigation from SAPD’s Human Exploitation Unit involving Lycan and a 15-year-old girl, who is disabled.

Police said the teen’s parents notified officers that Lycan, their neighbor, was in a relationship with their daughter.

Lycan became friends with the teen and later gave her his phone number. He sent her several messages and would video chat with her before she would go to sleep or at times when she was not wearing any clothing, according to SAPD.

Police added that Lycan would also request to take videos or photos of the teen during the video calls, and some of their conversations ended with Lycan saying, “I love you.”

As officers were taking Lycan to the jail, he was heard telling the media, “It’s all lies. It’s all lies.”

His charge is a third-degree felony, punishable between two to 10 years in prison if he’s found guilty.
