A Facebook Marketplace jewelry sale turned sideways when the seller had a gun pulled on him, luckily he was recording the whole exchange on his Rayban Meta Glasses.
SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department has arrested a man after he was allegedly recorded on Ray-Ban Meta Glasses robbing a victim at gunpoint during a Facebook Marketplace jewelry exchange.
On March 19, a Facebook Marketplace seller agreed to meet up with Marcelino Emanuel Moreno at the 1401 block of Patricia Drive to sell a 10 karat bracelet for $2800 in cash.
The seller went to the location wearing Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, which records high definition video, to film the exchange. When Moreno showed up to the location, he reportedly handed the seller a $20 bill rolled up with several $1 bills, which did not add up to the $2800 agreed upon.
Moreno reportedly proceeded to take the bracelet before pulling out a black handgun from his waistband and running off with the jewelry.
The seller then showed detectives the video recorded on his Ray-Ban Meta Glasses which provided them a clear look at Moreno’s face
The affidavit states detectives were able to find mugshots of Moreno from previous crimes. Further investigation led detectives to observe Moreno having the same tattoo on his left forearm, which was reportedly observed in the video.
Moreno has been arrested and is facing a felony charge of aggravated robbery.
