SAN ANTONIO — A 52-year-old man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being shot during a dispute with a neighbor in San Antonio, police said.
The San Antonio Police Department said officers responded to South Flores Street after receiving a call reporting a disturbance between two men who live across the street from each other. The victim, a 52-year-old man, was shot during the incident and transported to a hospital in critical condition.
The suspect, identified as a 58-year-old man, was detained at the scene. Police said the two men are known to each other and have had prior disturbances, though authorities did not specify the nature of those incidents or what led to the escalation on this occasion.
Investigators believe a single shot may have been fired, but Sgt. Van Geffen said that detail remains preliminary as the investigation continues.
No officers were involved in the shooting, and no shots were fired by police, authorities said.
The case remains under investigation.
