Man arrested after threatening store manager with gun during robbery in Olmos Park

A 30-year-old man was arrested after police say he threatened a store manager with a handgun during a robbery at a business in Olmos Park.

OLMOS PARK, Texas — A man is in custody after police say he threatened a store manager with a handgun during a robbery at a business in Olmos Park on Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the 300 block of West Olmos near San Pedro Avenue around 9:47 a.m. for a robbery in progress.

According to San Antonio police, the suspect, a 30-year-old man, was seen concealing items on his person before walking out of the store without paying.

When the store manager approached him to recover the merchandise, police say the suspect threatened the manager with a handgun and then fled the scene.

Officers located the suspect a short distance away and took him into custody. He was later booked on a charge of robbery of a business.

No injuries were reported.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional details may be released.
