
Witnesses reportedly told detectives two men were seen arguing when the suspect pulled out a gun, pointed it at the victim and threatened to kill him.
PLEASANTON, Texas — A man has been arrested after allegedly pulling out a gun and threatening to kill another man he was arguing with outside of a Walmart.
Around 10:30 a.m., the Pleasanton Police Department responded to a local Walmart after receiving reports of a man threatening to kill another man at gunpoint.
Upon arrival, officers say the suspect had already left the scene.
Shortly after a search was initiated, police say they found and arrested the suspect who was hiding in a parking lot near an EZ Pawn.
The suspect was identified as 34-year-old Joshua Martinez.
Detectives went back to the Walmart to obtain video and statements from witnesses.
The preliminary investigation shows that two men were arguing when Martinez pulled out a gun, pointed it at the victim and threatened to kill him, according to witness statements given to detectives.
Martinez is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
