Man arrested for brutal attack that happened inside a moving vehicle

Ricardo Ruiz, 33, is now facing an aggravated robbery charge in connection with the violent attack that happened back in August.

SAN ANTONIO — A man is behind bars accused in a brutal stabbing attack that happened inside a moving car.

Ricardo Ruiz, 33, is now facing an aggravated robbery charge in connection with the violent attack that happened back in August.

According to an arrest warrant, the 37-year-old victim was riding in a car with his girlfriend and her son, when Ruiz suddenly pulled out a knife and started stabbing him multiple times in the back seat.

Officers said Ruiz then took the victim’s phone.

The woman driving managed to pull into a parking lot off Seguin Ave and both she and the victim were able to get out and find help.

Police say Ruiz took off in the car.

The victim was rushed to the hospital and into surgery with multiple stab wounds to his neck, stomach, and legs.
