SAN ANTONIO — A man is behind bars in connection to a murder Sunday morning, San Antonio police say.
18-year-old Noah West has been arrested and faces a charge of murder.
According to an affidavit, he was seen on surveillance video approaching a victim on West Grammercy near Fredericksburg Road on Sunday morning before starting to hit them with a taped piece of wood. He then left the area.
When police arrived, they found 29-year-old Darreyl Fields lying on the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The report says West was arrested when police found him at another murder scene nearby on Fredericksburg Road on Monday. Police say a man was beaten to death at that location.
SAPD says he’s a suspect for that murder as well, but he has not been charged in Monday’s death.
His bond is set at $500,000.
