A man has been arrested in connection with a late February shooting on the northeast side that left a man critically injured, according to an arrest warrant.
SAN ANTONIO — Nearly two months after a shooting that left a man critically injured, the accused gunman is now in custody.
According to an arrest warrant, 28-year-old Arthur Lee Beechum Jr. has been arrested in connection with a late February shooting at the Cottage Creek Apartments off Ray Bon Drive.
When officers arrived at the complex, they found a 51-year-old man who had been shot multiple times. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Police say witnesses reported seeing the two men talking moments before the gunfire erupted. The victim told investigators that Beechum was his friend and identified him as the shooter.
Authorities also say Beechum is a suspect in a separate shooting at a local VIA Transit Center.
The investigation remains ongoing.
