Man arrested in stabbing of father, uncle, police say

Investigators said the suspect, who has been identified as Oscar Cantu, left the scene after the stabbings in a vehicle belonging to one of the victims.

SAN ANTONIO — A man has been arrested after police say he stabbed his uncle and father several times during a possible argument on Sunday, July 8.

The incident occurred just after 8 p.m. at a home off Dugas Drive near Potranco Road on the west side of San Antonio.

When officers arrived, they found a 70-year-old man stabbed twice in the chest, and a 69-year-old man with stab wounds to his chest and side of the head.

Investigators said the suspect, who has been identified as Oscar Cantu, left the scene after the stabbings in a vehicle belonging to one of the victims.

The two victims had multiple stab wounds to the chest, arms and head, as well as severe bruising.

Cantu was charged with aggravated assault with deadly weapon, which is a second degree felony. 

The investigation is ongoing.
