Man charged with aggravated assault with deadly weapon after allegedly stabbing ex’s new boyfriend

This after police say he was following them to his ex-girlfriend’s apartment.

Michael Camarillo was arrested Saturday and is now facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

In court documents, San Antonio Police say the girlfriend told police her ex was following them to her apartment last Sunday around 2:30 a.m. When they stopped at a convenience store, Camarillo allegedly stabbed her new boyfriend with a knife through the car window. He was stabbed twice in the chest.

The man drove himself to the hospital after he was stabbed.

Police stated he was in serious but stable condition.

Michael Camarillo is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, which is a 2nd degree felony.

He was released after he posted bond.
