SAN ANTONIO — A man has been charged with aggravated robbery after police say he pointed a gun at victims and demanded that they give him their property.
SAPD responded to the 3700 block of Blanco Road just north of downtown around 9 p.m. for reports of an aggravated robbery.
When officers arrived at the scene, they spoke to one of the victims who told police that the suspect entered the business and pointed a silver handgun at them and demanded they give him money.
One of the victims was able to leave the business and tried to contact police on their cellphone. The 34-year-old suspect was still at the scene and took the victim’s phone, then fled from the location. The suspect then robbed another woman at gunpoint, demanding all her property.
After watching video surveillance, officers say they recognized the suspect as someone known in the area. Police obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s home and surrounded it.
The suspect tried to flee the location but was shortly after apprehended by officers without incident.
This is a developing story.
